The Oasis Residence III
The renovation begins with a gesture of respect: to listen to what already exists. The building, long abandoned, held the traces of its former life — the rhythm of its façades, the proportions of its openings, the texture of its materials. Rather than erasing these layers, the project seeks to amplify their presence, revealing the value of the pre-existing fabric while adapting it to current standards of comfort and habitability.
The design operates through a careful equilibrium between permanence and renewal. Structural and material elements are preserved where possible, and new interventions are introduced with clarity — their precision highlighting the qualities of the old. Natural materials — wood, ceramic, stone — establish a tactile continuity throughout the spaces, softening the dialogue between past and present.
Light becomes the true protagonist. Throughout the day, it modulates the atmosphere, tracing the movement of time across surfaces and volumes. The interplay of light and shadow animates the spaces, ensuring that the building remains in constant transformation.
Ultimately, the renovation is an act of recovery — not only of a building, but of its memory and potential. Through the coexistence of old and new, the project reactivates a forgotten piece of the city, transforming it into a living architecture that looks forward while carrying its history within.
